INITIAL REPORT
Robert 'Joey' Harvey Schofield Jr, 32 was last seen October 4, 2020, reportedly on the Nortonville Black Top in Murrayville, Morgan County, Illinois by a co-worker after Joey left work. He was reported missing the next day after he missed work at his employment with Nestle in Jacksonville.
His wife Sara reported to us that she made the official missing persons report October 4, 2020.
Joey's vehicle was located abandoned on the 2200 block of Sheriff Road in Murrayville near where Joey was building a home. Law Enforcement, Joey's family and friends had searched the area looking for Joey with negative results.
October 8, 2020 Joey's body was found buried in a field about 4:00 PM on Gobbler Road. Joey was murdered. The cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds.
October 9, 2020 Kenneth J Acree (35), reportedly Joey's cousin was charged with First Degree Murder and Concealment of a Homicide. Kenneth lived on Gobbler Road, the same road Joey's body was found.
Shortly after, Kenneth's wife, Laura C Acree (29) also of Murrayville was charged with Concealment of a homicide and Obstruction of Justice.
Joey's wife who contacted us to initiate our assistance, Sara M Schofield (29) of New Berlin was also charged in Joey's murder with Concealment of a Homicide and Obstruction of Justice. Both women paid their 10K Bond (each) and were leased from jail, awaiting court.

From what we learned, Joey was a Military Veteran, a father, a husband and a family man, well loved by his family and friends.
