It is with a heavy heart, we must report that Michael Scott Williams has been located and is deceased. Our deepest sympathies to Michael's family, and all those who know and love him. It is believed that Michael's death was a tragic accident. No additional information will be given by our organization.
Michael was reported missing January 24, 2023 with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office. Michael was last seen in Buchner, Illinois. There were no confirmed sightings after his disappearance.
March 15, 2023, a body was located in the area, and it was confirmed March 19, 2023 that it was Michael.
We want to thank the Sheriff, Detectives and the entire teams at the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, Emergency Management, and the Search and Rescue teams that did everything it took to search for Michael and bring him home. We thank the communities across the state that shared his disappearance.
