Abbie Brandenburg was last seen May 5, 2022 crossing the bridge with her vehicle at Lake Vermilion, Illinois and was never seen again.
May 11, 2022 Abbie's body was found inside her vehicle in the Lake Vermilion. Our deepest condolences to Abbie's family and loved ones.

Abbie Marie Brandenburg was born in Danville, Illinois to Nathan Taylor and Julie Brandenburg. She was raised by her grandparents Jewell and Becky Lucas, whom she loved dearly. Abbie graduated from Schlarman Academy in 2013 and went on to obtain further education at Indiana State University and Danville Area Community College. Abbie enjoyed spending time with her children, arts and crafts, going on walks, listening to music, hanging with family, friends and with her fiancé who was her person and life partner.
Abbie was a nurturing, sweet, kind, soft spoken and gentle soul with a smile that lit up every room she entered and she will be missed by her family friends and loved ones.
Abbie is survived by her parents; Nathan Taylor and Julie Brandenburg, Grandparents; Jewell and Becky Lucas, Senie Moore and Elmon Taylor, Fiancé; Christian Cunningham, Children; Maddie Wisecup and Maya Brandenburg, Siblings; Devyn Taylor, Elijah Wise, Brianna Pratt, Destiny Taylor, Dalton Leyva, Casey Mikel, Alexander Rose and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her very special aunt, Carrie Ann Johnson.
Services for Abbie will be at Noon Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at New Life Church of Faith, 1419 N. Bowman Ave. Danville, IL 61832 with LeStan Hoskins officiating.
