The 18 year old young woman that has been found deceased has been identified as Hayven M. Porter Peoria. Our deepest condolences to her family and those who knew and love her.
An unidentified woman jumped in to the Bob Michel Bridge in Peoria, Illinois July 24, 2020 and was witnessed by several in the area. Some heard a woman yelling for help. During the search by officials a pair of woman's shoes were located. The search was called off after hours of searching. She was later recovered from the Illinois River and Identified.
While she remains unidentified, she has been located deceased. Her body was found in front of a barge by the Peoria Lock and Dam July 26, 2020 as reported by the Tazewell County Sheriff's Office.
The Tazewell County Coroner pronounced her dead at 9:15 A.M.
The autopsy will be on Monday, July 27, 2020.
The death investigation continues and is being handled by the East Peoria Police Department & the Coroner's Office.
