Robin Renee Williams, 41, May 12, 2020, Carbondale, Jackson County, Illinois

Robin was last seen in Carbondale, Illinois on May 12, 2020.


Her remains were located in Carbondale on October 6, 2020 and was confirmed with identification on December 2, 2020. Her family was notified that Robin was beaten to death and left in an abandoned home on the 600 block of East Park Street in Carbondale until she was found months later.


Her then-boyfriend forty-four-year-old Michael Lee Moore of Franklin County, Illinois was locked up in a Florida prison on unrelated charges. The family was forced to wait about a year until that case was completed, and Moore was finally extradited to Illinois to face First Degree Murder charges against him for Robin Williams death.


Robin was in a Domestic Violence relationship. There was at least one prior police report against Moore before she disappeared.


As of August 2022 court continues.

OBITUARY

Robin Renee Williams, age 41, of West Frankfort, passed away on May 19, 2020.


Robin was born in Wheaton, Illinois and moved to Southern Illinois as a child to live with family. Robin graduated from high school in Galatia and married Steve Williams. Robin and Steve had one son, Ethan Williams. Robin cherished Ethan more than life itself.


Robin loved to take pictures and journal. She had an amazing sense of humor and managed to stay upbeat even in the darkest of times.


Robin is survived by her son Ethan Williams, sisters Sharon Toler, Mary Toler, Katie Durham, Sami Kern, and Lori Kern Drury; nieces Sydney Toler, Lillie Durham, Olivia Anderson, and nephews Richard Hite and Dilyn Durham; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Robin is preceded in death by her father Darrell Murrow and mother Lillie Jean Toler.
