Our hearts go out to Navin's grandmother who attempted with everything she had to take care of Navin and to keep him out of harms way, knowing his parents were not worthy. They starved him, locked him up in the basement and physically abused him, until he was found deceased, weighing just 38 pounds.
Navin's mother Stephanie other son Nigel Ragon died in 2007 of what the previous coroner determined to be Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. DCFS reported they found evidence of unsafe sleep.

Biological parents Stephanie Jones and Brandon Walker face 1 count each for First Degree Murder in the death of 8 year old Navin Jones.

They were both set to be arraigned April 28, 2022
Jury Trial has been continued several times, and is now rescheduled for January 9, 2023.
OBITUARY
Navin A. Jones, 8, of Washington, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born on December 7, 2013, in Peoria.
Surviving are his grandmother, Laura Walker; one brother, Bentley Walker; two uncles, Christopher Walker and Matthew (Megan) Walker.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Craig Walker.
Navin was a sweet, loving boy with a great smile who was full of personality and always happy. He loved to play with his dog and ride his bike and scooter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton, with Msgr. Gerald Ward officiating. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
Memorials may be made to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for a scholarship fund in Navin’s memory.
