Haylie was last known to be a Fourth of July party. The family did not report her missing until July 8th because Haylie had a history of running away from home. The Oklahoma City Police Department stated that the missing report they received gave signs of foul play.
Suspect Eduardo Bonilla Lopez, 18 was charged the day after the report was made, in connection to her kidnapping and murder. The party Haylie went to was at Eduardo's residence.
Eduardo apparently contacted a friend on FaceTime asking to help him to get rid of Haylie's body. During that call, he showed a woman in his car bleeding from the head. Investigators pinged his cell phone in the area but found nothing.
Bonilla-Lopez’s sister, Lilian Bonilla, and father, Vidal Bonilla-Jeres, were also arrested for allegedly trying to help conceal the crime. He instructed both of them to dispose of the gun used to take Haylie's life. Eduardo told Investigators he had someone help him dispose of Haylie's body in the location she was found. Someone else also helped him clean his vehicle to rid the evidence.
Eduardo was taken in to custody on July 7, 2021 in conjunction to Haylie's disappearance.
August 16, 2021 Haylie's body was located in a wooded area near the apartment complex near the 6800 block of NW 13th Street in Oklahoma City. She died from a gunshot wound to the head.
In a strange twist, we have been unable to find any trace of the suspect Eduardo in the court system or the Oklahoma City jail, therefore we cannot follow the case. Moreover, there has been no media in these regards. Case# CPC-2021-4784
