February 1, 2022, The Peoria Police & Fire Departments responded to a call on the 1000 block of Northeast Perry for a toddler not breathing. Two-year-old Emorri Green was pronounced deceased at the scene despite their efforts to revive her. During their investigation they identified Emorri's father, Shamari R Williams, age 25, to be their suspect and was arrested and charged with her death.
The autopsy concluded that Emorri suffered multiple traumatic blunt force injuries.
Williams has now been charged with two counts of first degree murder.
We pray that the truth comes to light, that justice is swift and harsh, and that Emorri's name and life is never forgotten.

OBITUARY
Emorri A. Green, 2, departed this life Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Emorri was born September 30, 2019, in Peoria, IL to Dominque Comer and Destiny Green. She spent her two short years being beautiful, happy, energetic, bold, and sassy. Emorri leaves her precious memories to her parents: Destiny Green and Dominique Comer, both of Peoria IL. Four brothers: Kyrese Fruitree, JaMerrion Green, A'Quandys Comer, and Re'Meir McClain all of Peoria, IL. Her grandparents: Deon Comer, Thomas Watson, Fred Forrest, and Deya Young. Emorri was preceded in death by JerMeaka Brown, Darryl Keller, Tyron Irving, Pauline Mason, J.C. Brown, and Joanne Green.
Interment will be at Lutheran Cemetery.
