Conner Yeo was just two months into his life when he died, allegedly by the hands of his own father, Zachary Yeo, 23.
First Responders were called to the Timberlane Apartments on the 5900 block of North Cypress Drive in Peoria about 8:45 a.m. after baby Conner was not breathing. He was resuscitated and taken to the hospital.
The father, Zachary Yeo was charged as baby Conner was at-the-time listed in critical condition for violently shaking him, with Aggravated Battery and Aggravated Domestic Battery.
He was held at the Peoria County Jail on a $500k Bond.
This is until baby Conner lost his battle and was pronounced deceased November 23, 2021, 11 days later. Baby Conner's autopsy revealed that he suffered severe blunt force head trauma.
In May of 2022, Zachary Yeo pled guilty and was sentenced to thirty years in prison. He must complete 100% of his sentenced.
