10-week-old baby Kora Middono was allegedly murdered by her 29-year-old father Jon R. Middono, who has been charged with Aggravated Battery in connection with her death, then later charged with her Murder. His charges include 3 counts of First-Degree Murder, two counts of Aggravated Battery to a child and one count of Aggravated Domestic Battery. He is facing 60 years in prison.
Approximately 12:30 A.M. on June 3, 2019 Channahon police officers went to the Morris Hospital after being notified of Kora's significant head injuries consistent with blunt force trauma, soonafter being flown to Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago where she later was pronounced dead. The Cook County Medical Examiner determined her death was a homicide,
It seems Kora was living with her father and mother, Amber Perry, at the Manor Motel in Channahon, Illinois, then moved to Crest Hill Inn in Crest Hill on May 30. 2019. His story was not consistent with the Coroner's medical report.
